UNDERWORLD NOTE
A clear starting plan.
The Flames reward maintaining a useful distance while several effects are active. Their visual noise can make the weapon feel more complicated than it needs to be. Start by recognising which projectile belongs to Attack and which orbit belongs to Special.
Normal Attacks provide repeated fire; charged actions spend Magick and change the rhythm. The upgraded default aspect adds critical chance to Attacks and Specials. Moros is a different engine: its attacks and Specials interact to create explosions, so preserving their overlap matters more than simply firing from as far away as possible.
This is a practical first-clear route. If you already know another aspect’s timing, use the aspect notes below to adapt the sequence.
UNDERWORLD NOTE
A sequence you can repeat.
- 01
Set the space
Move to an open arc and place Cast where a pursuer will approach. You want enough room to keep reading projectiles behind the flame effects.
- 02
Establish your engine
With Moros, prepare an Omega Special before holding Attack into its area. On a default aspect, learn your ordinary Attack and Special timing first.
- 03
Move between threats
Strafe or Dash to a new safe angle rather than sprinting blindly across the room. Keep track of when an orbit expires.
- 04
Refuel before repeating
An empty bar changes the sequence. Use normal actions and a safe recovery condition rather than trying to pay for a channel you cannot sustain.

UNDERWORLD NOTE
Give each Boon a job.
The choices below are starting directions and fallbacks. They are not a guarantee that a random run offers every piece. Read the actual range, trigger and Magick condition before taking a named choice.
Sworn Strike / Flutter Strike
The explosion engine can justify percentage-based Attack support. Aphrodite’s range condition still matters; do not assume every remote explosion receives a nearby-only benefit.
Heaven Flourish / Flame Flourish
Repeated Special contact can carry an additional damage source or curse. Choose according to the actual aspect rather than the weapon’s fire-themed appearance.
Born Gain or another repeatable recovery condition
Moros is expensive. If your chosen recovery is difficult to activate in this play pattern, solve that mismatch before taking another upgrade that increases spending.
UNDERWORLD NOTE
Choose the action, then the Hammer.
A Hammer can change which action deserves your next upgrade. Check the equipped aspect, eligible moves and added costs rather than treating three suggestions as a guaranteed package.
Enduring Coil
A longer-lasting Special can make refresh management easier. It is useful only when that Special is doing meaningful work.
Clean Coil
Consider it for a Special-led overlap plan. Read the offered version and the aspect restrictions rather than applying it to every Flames run.
Furious Blaze
An Attack-channel direction. Compare it with how often you actually have enough room and Magick to hold Attack.
UNDERWORLD NOTE
Four ways to play this weapon.
Melinoë
Critical chance for Attacks and Specials.
Learn a steady normal-move pattern and improve the action you can keep on target. The aspect does not require the collision setup of Moros.
Watch for: Older descriptions that focus on longer orbit duration predate its rework.
Moros
Attacks erupt when they meet your Specials.
Refresh an orbit from a safe opening, then feed it Attacks. A stable Gain effect is a core part of the build rather than an optional finishing touch.
Watch for: Firing from outside the overlap or refreshing too late can make good Boons appear ineffective.
Eos
Daybreaker repeats your Special actions.
Send the Daybreaker toward a useful lane, then use Specials while its position can still reach targets. Judge the setup by landed damage rather than projectile count.
Watch for: Its movement is not completely under your control; a bad line can waste much of a window.
Supay
Automatic fire and chargeable alternate shots.
Use the automatic pressure to spend more attention on your route through the arena. Add a deliberate charged action only when you can read the next threat.
Watch for: Hidden-aspect Hammers and firing rules differ. Hotfix 5 includes a Supay/Dividing Blaze interaction fix.
UNDERWORLD NOTE
Fix the awkward moment.
The explosions do not happen
On Moros, check where Attacks and Specials meet. Long range by itself is not the engine; the contact between the two parts is.
I cannot see incoming shots
Move to a less crowded side and stop refreshing effects for a moment. A clearer view is worth more than another expensive action that leaves you unable to read the room.
Eos does not behave like my old build
Eos uses Daybreaker to repeat Specials. Give it useful placement and then support that sequence; do not mix an old launch-era explanation into the current moveset.
UNDERWORLD NOTE
Take one question into the next room.
Use an early room to watch one Special orbit expire without immediately replacing it. Then add normal Attack. You should be able to identify the moment the two parts stop overlapping before you attempt a continuous Moros sequence.
Keep the same aspect while testing that one habit. Once it works, change one Boon choice or one movement decision and observe what improves.
