MIX THE EFFECT YOU NEED

Scroll Combinations & Recipe Guide

Start with the effect you want, then check the ingredients you can spare. A completed recipe is only the beginning: the resulting scroll still needs a suitable weapon, a free slot and a plan for its changed behavior. Use the finder alongside this guide.

01

Choose the job before consuming the ingredients

Describe the problem the scroll should solve. You might want an effect for crowded encounters, a different projectile, or a way to influence enemies rather than simply increase direct damage. That description narrows the recipe search more usefully than choosing the most dramatic name. Check which gun would carry the result and what role it currently fills. We would preserve a working everyday weapon while exploring a transformative effect. A scroll can be exciting yet poorly suited to the distance, ammunition supply or target access that made the original gun useful.

02

Use Kevin’s mixing station with two loose scrolls

Scholar Kevin provides the Church's mixing service through a small crafting grid. The documented recipes combine two Stage 1 scroll items. Crafting the result is separate from applying an enchantment to a gun. Keep those steps distinct when troubleshooting: having an effect already installed does not mean you still possess its loose ingredient item. Select the two ingredients in the finder, read the resulting name and check the items in your inventory before committing them. If the recipe is not recognized, stop and verify the names rather than spending more components on an assumed variation.

03

Recognize repeated ingredients and the Water exception

The recipe table contains several different patterns. Embers plus Surge creates Rocket Launcher. Two Surge scrolls create Chain Lightning, so repeated ingredients can be intentional. Embers plus Frostbite produces Water, which remains a Stage 1 scroll rather than following the usual Stage 2 pattern. These examples explain why a broad rule such as “any two scrolls make a stronger version” is not enough. Search the exact pair and preserve any component needed by another planned recipe. The result's name identifies a new decision to read, not a guarantee that its damage or utility improves every weapon.

04

Read the projectile and its practical distance

Rocket Launcher is a useful example of a transformation that deserves more than a damage comparison. Its projectiles become rockets with explosion behavior, so firing distance, travel and nearby surfaces matter to your plan. We would avoid learning a new explosive effect with your only valuable gun in an unfamiliar close encounter. Compare the result's current card with the weapon you intend to use, then consider where you would stand and how you would handle an enemy that reaches you. Treat a support-oriented or low-direct-damage effect according to its purpose instead of judging it only by a familiar bullet number.

05

Reserve a slot and check the running cost

A crafted scroll still needs an eligible enchantment slot on its intended weapon, and only one scroll can be active there. Several empty slots therefore do not permit stacking several scroll transformations on the same gun. Plan any accompanying oils around the chosen effect rather than apply unrelated bonuses first. Durability is also part of the build's running cost. Use the weapon workbench planner and the slot guide to organize those checks, then read the current in-game result before taking the build into a longer outing.

06

Bank the next attempt before experimenting

Once you identify a promising recipe, decide how many ingredient copies you can actually spare. A second loose component may be more valuable as a future alternative than as an immediate duplicate. Record the gun, scroll and oils used so you can explain what changed if the experiment feels awkward. We would test one transformation before altering caliber and several handling stats at the same time. After returning, keep the ingredients that advance a named next build and sell surplus according to a plan. The keep-or-sell guide provides a practical way to make that inventory decision.

THE QUICK ANSWERS

Clear the next question.

Does mixing a scroll automatically enchant my gun?

No. Kevin’s recipe uses loose scroll ingredients to make an output item. Applying that output to an eligible weapon is a separate action with its own slot checks. Confirm both stages when a recipe or enchantment seems unavailable.

Can I use two different scroll effects because the gun has spare slots?

The documented limit is one active scroll per weapon. Spare enchantment slots can support other eligible choices, but they do not turn the gun into a container for multiple scroll transformations.
