PICK YOUR TOOLKIT

One class. A different plan.

Every specialization below comes from the inspected 0.22.1 client. Shaman includes the newer Elemental option.

Warrior

2 specs · Rage

Warrior puts the pressure near the opponent. Charge, slows and interruptions help keep a target engaged, while its two specializations organize that pressure differently. Plan where your partner can support you before spending the approach. Being in melee range is useful only while the team can still recover from the exchange.

ArmsFury

Mage

2 specs · Mana

Mage combines spell pressure with a toolkit that can buy space. The important decision is often whether the next control protects your team or prepares an attack. Fire builds toward a burst sequence; Frost adds a different relationship between control and damage. Both benefit from a partner who recognizes the intended window.

FireFrost

Priest

2 specs · Mana

Priest can support a pair through preventative healing tools or sustained Shadow pressure, depending on specialization. Its useful contribution is larger than one cast: consider what happens when the opponent interrupts, moves out of position or forces recovery. Keep a clear distinction between the healing specialization and a damage build with some supporting options.

Rogue

2 specs · Energy

Rogue rewards control of the opening and the transition afterward. Energy, combo points and control effects give the pair several decisions to coordinate before damage is committed. Assassination emphasizes poison pressure; Subtlety reorganizes the stealth-and-burst plan. Neither specialization benefits from treating every available control as something to overlap immediately.

Hunter

2 specs · Focus

Hunter’s bow, controls and pet options support two different offensive identities. Marksmanship emphasizes the hero’s shots, while Beast Mastery invests more of the plan in the companion. Position with a useful line back to your partner, then decide which target needs pressure and which needs to be kept out of the exchange.

Paladin

2 specs · Mana

Paladin can anchor recovery or bring melee pressure with supporting tools. The shared kit makes timing valuable: a protection used early cannot necessarily answer the opponent’s later commitment. Holy and Retribution should be planned around their own primary jobs, with defensive assistance kept as an explicit part of the pair’s communication.

HolyRetribution

Warlock

2 specs · Mana

Warlock offers lasting pressure and control, but its specializations differ sharply over demons. Affliction’s current identity does not include a demon; Demonology makes companion choices part of the toolkit. Establish that distinction before planning a build. Coordinate pressure with the partner’s control rather than assuming every continuing damage effect helps every setup.

AfflictionDemonology

Druid

3 specs · Mana

Druid changes how it fights through forms as well as specialization. The base resource label is Mana, but forms use additional resource pools. Movement, recovery and control can support the same pair in different ways; the cost is attention to which form permits the next action and where a shift leaves you.

RestorationFeralBalance

Shaman

3 specs · Mana

Shaman’s three current specializations organize shocks, shields and totems into different plans. Restoration focuses on recovery; Enhancement commits a heavy melee weapon; Elemental adds a spell-pressure identity. A totem choice should address a specific team problem. Several alternatives replace one another, so a build is not every available totem at once.
