03 / RECOVERY

Schematics & Progression Guide

A productive run does not have to answer every question at once. Separate exploration, permanent unlocks and immediate spending so you know what the next detour or upgrade is supposed to achieve.

THE DECISION IN ONE LINE

A discovery, an unlocked first tier and a developed upgrade are different decisions.

01

Investigate a cue

Follow the real UI/audio hint while keeping a landmark and a way back.

02

Inspect the unlock

Check what the current hack menu already granted before planning another purchase.

03

Budget the next step

The Recycler needs its hack; a shop screenshot from another save does not prove yours has it.

REASSESS WHEN

Pause spending when you cannot name the limitation the next purchase would solve.

FIELD NOTE 01

Give exploration an achievable objective

Choose a modest objective before committing to a detour. You might be learning a room, investigating a cue or looking for an unlock that supports the next kind of experiment. Those are different from trying to maximize immediate combat power. Our advice is to decide what counts as useful progress so a difficult encounter does not erase the purpose of everything you learned before it.

Keep notes specific. Record the zone, route conditions and what remains uncertain rather than turn one discovery into a universal spawn promise.

FIELD NOTE 02

Use the schematic cues the game actually provides

Hard Reset improved schematic visibility with interface and audio cues. Treat those cues as a reason to inspect the surrounding route, not evidence that every nearby passage is accessible with your present kit. Look vertically, read possible approaches and preserve your current landmark before pursuing a less obvious path. Careful observation is more useful than a fabricated coordinate list.

Ascension added Fragmented Zones and mentioned a schematic in one of them. That announcement supports investigation; it does not establish a complete drop table or an identical location in every run.

FIELD NOTE 03

Separate discovering an upgrade from developing it

The Hard Reset progression changes made decrypting a hack unlock its first tier automatically. Read the current menu after discovery before spending as though nothing happened. An unlocked option and a fully developed upgrade are different decisions. Decide which immediate limitation the next purchase would address, then check its description rather than follow an old tree whose named upgrades may have been removed.

That update removed Voidmax and Schematic Hyperdrive. Their appearance in historical advice does not make them current recommendations.

FIELD NOTE 04

Check the unlock before expecting the Recycler

Recalibration added shop recycling with a corresponding Recycler Hack Upgrade requirement. If you cannot find the service, first inspect whether its prerequisite is available in your current progression. Do not assume every shop must provide an identical interface to a screenshot from another save. Additional upgrade tiers affect the currency returned, so the next improvement should be evaluated against what you actually expect to recycle.

We would identify the expendable module before planning around its sale. A potential experiment still has value if the alternative is spending on a less relevant immediate change.

FIELD NOTE 05

Keep route risk and shop decisions connected

More spending options do not automatically make rerolling the right decision. Name the missing role in the current setup before paying to search for it. If the weapon already performs its job but movement is failing, another offensive module may not address the problem. Protect the difference between improving a specific run and pursuing a longer-term unlock.

Hard Reset introduced shop rerolls with Voidium. The guide does not invent a current price, a guaranteed offer sequence or a universal optimal reserve. Those choices belong to the values and options your present game displays.

FIELD NOTE 06

Carry a useful conclusion into the next attempt

At the end of an attempt, record the next actionable question. Perhaps you located a cue but need a better approach, unlocked a service but have not evaluated its cost, or learned that a detour was too demanding for the current setup. Keep those conclusions separate from a claim that the route always produces a reward. This makes your notes survive balance changes better.

For an equipment question, build a small comparison in the weapon lab. For old-save concerns, read the demo and launch guide before altering files or assuming an announcement proves every migration scenario.

BEFORE THE NEXT ATTEMPT

Your field checklist

  1. Choose one exploration or upgrade objective for the attempt.
  2. Follow actual schematic UI and audio cues.
  3. Inspect traversal access before committing to a detour.
  4. Check what a decrypted hack already unlocked.
  5. Confirm the Recycler prerequisite in the current menu.
  6. Spend toward a named limitation and record the next question.

QUICK ANSWERS

Keep the limits clear.

Does this guide list every schematic location?

No. We explain documented discovery systems and a practical investigation method. The reviewed sources do not establish a complete current spawn table, so we do not invent exact coordinates, guaranteed drops or an all-schematics completion claim.

Is Hard Reset an instruction to delete my save?

No. The developer explicitly said the February update’s title referred to its story and that the update did not wipe progression. That historical assurance is not an instruction to edit files or a guarantee about every future build transition.
