THE EVIDENCE DESK

A guide should know
which game it is reading.

Source review / 3 November 2026. Original advice, explicit boundaries.

Three projects. Three rule sets.

Project Ebonhold is the WotLK 3.3.5a-based project linked here. Hordes of Azeroth is a separate local-client project. Azeroth Survivors is another project with its own entry and mechanics. Their shared Warcraft class names do not make builds, installers, progression currencies or backups interchangeable.

Normal builder data stays normal.

We inspected the public default Echo catalog behind the official normal builder: 546 records and ten class identities. The thirty selected class-guide records were checked for exact identity and class eligibility. Our explanations summarize their trigger conditions without turning the catalog into a guaranteed future draw.

The normal Talent Calculator loads the project’s default data. The separately labelled V2 calculator uses PTR data and describes a coming update. A new talent found only there is not silently promoted to a normal-realm build instruction. The project’s V2 player guide is cited as published documentation, with that distinction visible on the relevant pages.

Editorial recommendations have a job.

The starter tier list asks which class offers an approachable first solo Normal learning experiment. It does not ask which finished build wins a raid damage comparison. Placements, qualitative stat decision orders and next-run experiments are Cobalt’s analysis. We did not log in to benchmark a realm, simulate damage or measure completion rates.

Class guides deliberately identify an ordinary action and a compatible effect. They do not prescribe unverified talent point strings, invented Echo odds, universal hit caps or a current legendary best-in-slot list. The official builder and the tooltip in the realm you play remain the reference for exact ranks and restrictions.

Real imagery, with real captions.

The centered logo, official artwork, class icons and selected Echo icons come from project-published sources. Interface images are source illustrations, not current gameplay captures taken by Cobalt. We retain their source URLs and conversion records in the asset manifest. Warcraft imagery belongs to Blizzard Entertainment and the relevant project creators; this site is independent.

What would change this manual?

A confirmed change to a selected Echo trigger, class roster, normal builder or documented banking rule merits a review of the affected page. A new check without a substantive content change does not automatically make an old guide newly published. If you spot a mismatch, contact Cobalt Graphics with the guide URL, exact effect name and realm or version shown.

Sources, scope & the next check.

Official references establish the documented mechanics. Starting builds, stat decision orders, tier placements and test suggestions are Cobalt’s editorial analysis. No damage simulation, measured win rate or hands-on realm test is claimed.
