01 / THE FIRST EXPERIMENT
A starting build with one job.
Fury is our suggested learning experiment if you enjoy an active melee rhythm. Start with a small, repeatable cycle; switch to Protection when testing how a shield changes your ability to hold a dangerous space.
A starting experiment, not a guaranteed best-in-slot setup or a prescribed point allocation. Inspect the current normal builder and your realm’s tooltip before committing.
02 / CHOOSE THE ROLE FIRST
Three talent directions.
Arms
Build around a deliberate Mortal Strike window. Keep moving between committed hits rather than treating every enemy as a stationary target.

Use the repeated Bloodthirst and Whirlwind cycle as the question for your Echo choices. Resource flow matters before a collection of impressive secondary effects.
Open official builder ↗Protection
Treat Shield Slam and Revenge as an offensive tank sequence. A defensive label does not remove the need to finish the enemies creating pressure.

Read the trigger.
Then choose the effect.
These are real Warrior records from the default public Echo Builder, checked on 3 November. Availability and usefulness are different questions; this is a shortlist to investigate, not a promised draw.

Its named triggers span all three Warrior trees. Choose the one you already press; this is not a reason to scatter your talent plan.

Ember SparkRage spending
A resource-spend effect wants a cycle that actually consumes rage. Observe whether movement or starvation is preventing that.

Temporal PressureSelected Warrior cooldowns affected by haste
The default catalog lists a specific set of cooldowns. Read that list before assuming every defensive or offensive button gets faster.

A stat decision order.
Use this qualitative order to decide what to inspect next. It is not a set of simulated weights, universal caps or an instruction to ignore your active tree.
- 01A usable weapon and a functioning rage cycle
- 02Enough survival to stay in a safe melee position
- 03Strength / attack power for the physical plan you actually use
- 04Haste when it improves an eligible cooldown or reliable uptime
- 05Critical strike after the basic cycle remains stable
Read the current Bloodthirst / Whirlwind / Shield Slam entries in your chosen tree. A cooldown Echo only helps when the ability can also be paid for and used safely.
05 / THE LOOP
Make the next press useful.
If rage is repeatedly empty when your key ability is ready, improve the cycle before collecting more spend-trigger effects. If rage is available but you are moving out of every attack, solve positioning first.
Perform the actual eligible action.
Check whether the intended result had a useful opportunity.
Change the failing step before adding another layer.
The mistake to catch early.
Buying an attractive spend proc while most of your time is spent unable to spend. More effects do not repair a stalled resource loop.
When an interaction seems absent, read the precise trigger and class record first. An effect with the same name on another class can use a different condition. PTR examples can also differ from the default catalog.
One useful experiment.
Fight a small pack with the same core abilities twice. On the second attempt, reserve enough rage for the next important press. Compare the time you spend waiting, rather than the largest damage number.
Keep the encounter, role and ordinary sequence as consistent as practical. Write down what changed and what remained awkward. Your own observation is more useful than pretending this guide measured a universal winner.
