CLASS FIELD NOTE / BUILDS & ECHOES

Druid.
Build around the action.

Choose one form and one job before measuring the build.

01 / THE FIRST EXPERIMENT

A starting build with one job.

Balance is our suggested first Druid experiment for a player learning at range. Keep a Feral test separate; if the goal is healing friends, begin with that group role explicitly.

A starting experiment, not a guaranteed best-in-slot setup or a prescribed point allocation. Inspect the current normal builder and your realm’s tooltip before committing.

02 / CHOOSE THE ROLE FIRST

Three talent directions.

01

Balance

A clear spellcasting starting experiment. Compare the basic cast you actually use with the named Echo trigger.

02

Feral

A melee or bear-oriented alternative. Cat and bear actions are not interchangeable merely because they share one talent tree.

03

Restoration

A dedicated group-support job. A heal appearing in a proc tooltip does not mean every heal or periodic tick qualifies.

03 / DEFAULT CATALOG EXAMPLES

Read the trigger.
Then choose the effect.

These are real Druid records from the default public Echo Builder, checked on 3 November. Availability and usefulness are different questions; this is a shortlist to investigate, not a promised draw.

This is a cross-role list. It does not turn the same gearing or talent recommendation into a universal Druid build.

Read the action and form you actually use. The list includes casts and melee actions for different experiments.

The named abilities provide the compatibility test. A useful cooldown in one Druid role may be irrelevant to another.

04 / FIX THE BOTTLENECK

A stat decision order.

Use this qualitative order to decide what to inspect next. It is not a set of simulated weights, universal caps or an instruction to ignore your active tree.

  1. 01One clearly chosen form and role
  2. 02Survival and safe uptime for that role
  3. 03Spell-oriented gearing for casting / healing, physical gearing for a melee plan
  4. 04Haste or critical effects that match the eligible actions
  5. 05Additional flexibility after the first plan is dependable

The Temporal Pressure record distinguishes Mangle in Cat and Bear forms and also lists specific healing and control spells. Form and eligible action both matter.

05 / THE LOOP

Make the next press useful.

Stonefist names Starfire, Nourish and Mangle. Those are three different use cases. Pick the one your current role repeats; do not change the whole class plan just to cover the tooltip.

ACT

Perform the actual eligible action.

OBSERVE

Check whether the intended result had a useful opportunity.

ADAPT

Change the failing step before adding another layer.

The mistake to catch early.

Comparing a caster upgrade with a melee upgrade without first deciding which form will perform the fight. You need a consistent baseline for the comparison.

When an interaction seems absent, read the precise trigger and class record first. An effect with the same name on another class can use a different condition. PTR examples can also differ from the default catalog.

One useful experiment.

Choose one form and one short action sequence for a manageable encounter. Keep both stable while evaluating a single Echo. Only then make a separate attempt with another role or form.

Keep the encounter, role and ordinary sequence as consistent as practical. Write down what changed and what remained awkward. Your own observation is more useful than pretending this guide measured a universal winner.
