Three similar names, different rules.

Hordes of Azeroth is the author jonhaldors’ local survivors-style project for the 1.12.1 build 5875 client. Project Ebonhold is a separate WotLK project, while Azeroth Survivors is another game again. We do not transfer their spells, save instructions or tier lists between sections.

The current source snapshot.

We reviewed release v0.6.2, published 2 November 2026, including Hotfix 2. The repository’s class-preview file still contains some descriptions that the release notes supersede. We use the release for changed rules and the preview for class and route identities, rather than silently blending incompatible values.

The 0.6 change history replaces the old twenty-floor format with Normal, Heroic and Mythic levels and shorter stage counts. A historical source can still explain an interface without becoming the current progression guide.

How the tier list is made.

The solo Normal learning list considers recovery, a legible setup-and-payoff loop and the positioning demand visible in the documented kit. S, A and B are editorial starting recommendations. We do not have a measured win-rate sample, damage benchmark or hands-on test series. Empty lower tiers remain empty.

Class guides offer three specialization directions and qualitative priorities. They do not promise exact talent points, best-in-slot gear or a universal stat-weight formula. The next offer and the current in-game tooltip remain important.

What the images actually show.

The hero and background are genuine project-published promotional artwork, not our gameplay captures. The launcher illustration is historical 0.2-era UI. Native Warcraft class symbols are generic class illustrations, not a claim that we extracted the current Hordes client. The image manifest records source pages, preserved originals, sizes and hashes.

Local planning tools.

The class finder and starting-plan selector use only public choices you enter. Nothing is read from your character, installation or save. A shared link contains only style and learning-goal IDs in its fragment. No account or database is involved.

Know the version.
Know the boundary.

Release v0.6.2, published 2 November, is our current reference. The author’s release notes take precedence over older class-preview tooltips. Recommendations are original qualitative analysis; we have not measured class win rates or playtested these builds.
