THE COBALT TAKE
Our take: the new tree has a coherent close-pressure engine and several ways to support it. Develop the spells actually known, preserve an escape route and separate a chance-based extra effect from guaranteed damage or protection. This is an original source-based plan, without a measured clear-time claim.

The build in four decisions.
Check whether Stormstrike is learned, supplied by a talent, or supporting a pet/proc engine.
Use the build priorities. Consider early Luck when damage and survival are already sufficient.
Read which learned spell the amulet remakes; do not assume it changes a free proc or pet.
A working setup need not wait for one necklace. Read actual effects and any repeated-offer empowerment.
BEFORE YOU START THE RUN
Give the plan a starting point.
Choose the opening your learned milestone provides
An ordinary Shaman start, Rockbiter Initiation and Stormbound Echoes describe different states. Rockbiter Initiation replaces the starting Lightning Bolt with Rockbiter Weapon. The current capstone separately says that you start with Stormstrike. Check the spells actually known when the run begins; these descriptions alone do not prove that combining the nodes grants both starters simultaneously. Stormstrike belongs to the inspected ordinary Shaman ability pool, while Rockbiter is supported by its explicit opening milestone. Do not promise a random Rockbiter card.
Retire the old spell-and-wolf instructions
Our earlier Enhancement article followed the 0.130–0.133 Windfury and Feral Spirit tree. The 0.139 native Enhancement records now support Rockbiter and Stormstrike instead. Old descriptions can remain in localization even when they no longer belong to the active tree. Windfury Weapon is the current extra-strike node; the old free-Chain-Lightning Maelstrom plan and two-wolf endpoint are historical context. Read the current Armory unlock requirements rather than copying the previous allocation or combining both generations.

Read these in the context of your current clear. They are conditional priorities rather than a numeric stat weight or a fixed card sequence.

Check how your core engine comes online
Read your selected talents and current spell list. A learned spell, a free cast and a pet engine are different starting points. Take a spell offer if it fills the missing job; learned-spell eligibility for a legendary amulet is a separate question.

Establish the actual Stormstrike core
Stormbound Echoes explicitly provides a Stormstrike start when learned. Earlier development may need to obtain Stormstrike through the available spell offers. Keep that distinction visible before spending on support that names it. Rockbiter has its own milestone, so inspect whether that spell is present rather than assuming the desired pair is already complete.
Match the proc to the spell doing the work
Windfury Weapon supports both Rockbiter and Stormstrike. Flametongue Weapon names Rockbiter as its Fire Nova trigger; Frostbrand Weapon names Stormstrike as its Frost Shock trigger. A talent for an absent spell does not repair the current opening. Choose support for the working channel before adding a speculative proc package, and leave parameterized chances to the current rank tooltip.
Connect coverage, vulnerability and recovery
Sweeping Storm extends Stormstrike to more nearby enemies. Elemental Sunder makes targets hit by Rockbiter or Stormstrike take increased Fire and Nature damage for four seconds. Ancestral Fortitude supplies a partial-strength Healing Wave after a Stormstrike-count condition. These solve different problems: contact with useful targets, damage on marked enemies and periodic recovery. None guarantees that standing inside every pack is safe.
Read Flurry as a narrow melee interaction
Current Flurry requires melee critical strikes and accelerates Rockbiter and Stormstrike cooldown recovery for four seconds. It does not describe the old five-second boost to all cooldowns after any critical strike. Thundering Strikes supports the named pair’s critical chance. Judge that package by the current attack rhythm rather than promising permanent uptime or automatic benefit to Chain Lightning and totems.
Buy future rarity after the opening works
Luck improves the odds of rarer level-up upgrades. It does not itself supply a missing starter, guarantee a weapon proc or prove a better legendary drop rate. Consider it while the current attacks and recovery are adequate; otherwise choose the improvement that fixes the immediate obstacle. At an amulet offer, compare the actual known-spell requirement and the effect being replaced.
BUILD CONNECTIONS
Talents that support the idea.
Inspect the synergies, then compare them with the Armory’s Talents tab between runs. The recorded client describes milestones at 10, 20 and 30 points. Exact ranks and tunable values must be read in your client.
WHY IT MATTERS
Rockbiter Initiation
Changes the starting Lightning Bolt to Rockbiter Weapon. Verify the resulting opening when combined with other starting-spell nodes.
Hover or focus a talent on desktop; tap on mobile. This is a synergy reference. Node order is a reading order, not a point allocation or an unlock tree.
FROM FIRST PICKS TO A FINISHED ENGINE
Your run plan.
Before the run
Identify the current starter and unlocked engine
Inspect Rockbiter Initiation, Elemental Sunder and Stormbound Echoes in the Armory. Note which are learned and which spell the resulting opening actually knows. This route describes useful interactions, not an exact point allocation. If the account has not reached the capstone, develop its real opening instead of counting Stormstrike’s guaranteed start early.
Opening
Build pressure without surrendering an exit
Follow the reach and targets shown by the active attacks. This tree explicitly distinguishes melee critical effects from general spell effects, but it does not authorize importing a WoW weapon-speed formula or standing in unavoidable damage. A modest useful damage or recovery pick can do more for a struggling run than waiting for the complete proc chain.
Developing
Let the known weapon choose its support
A working Rockbiter can use its Flametongue interaction; a working Stormstrike can use Frostbrand, Sweeping Storm and the counted Healing Wave. Windfury Weapon applies to both named attacks. Keep those conditions separate. The free spell produced by a talent is not automatically established as a normally learned spell for every later equipment rule.
Sustained pressure
Use Sunder and shields deliberately
Elemental Sunder supplies a four-second Fire and Nature vulnerability after the named attacks hit. Maintain useful contact through sensible movement instead of treating the debuff as an always-on map-wide bonus. Stormguard reduces damage while Lightning Shield is active, so inspect the actual shield state before relying on it. Ancestral Fortitude’s recovery depends on Stormstrikes occurring; it is not a rescue that triggers merely because health becomes low.
Capstone and equipment
Keep repetition inside its documented limit
Stormbound Echoes gives Enhancement procs a chance to trigger one additional time and heals for one percent of all damage you deal. The description does not establish an unlimited self-triggering chain, invulnerability or a promised clear at a harder difficulty. Read a proposed amulet’s specific remake, whether the hero knows its spell and the worn effect lost before replacing a stable setup.

Shaman spell membership · current 0.139.0
11 class spell IDs found in the 0.139.0 desktop snapshot, checked 2 November 2026. This list establishes membership, not unlock order or the need to take every spell.
Keep the build focused.
Following the old Windfury / Maelstrom Weapon / Feral Spirit spell-and-wolf route after the Enhancement rework.
Assuming Rockbiter Initiation and the capstone necessarily grant both starting spells together.
Extending current Flurry to every spell or keeping its old five-second duration.
Counting Stormguard without an active Lightning Shield or treating counted Healing Waves as a low-health rescue.
Reading one additional proc as an unlimited loop or treating damage-based healing as immunity.
QUICK ANSWERS
Shaman build questions
Does Enhancement still end with two spirit wolves? +
The inspected 0.139.0 Enhancement capstone is Stormbound Echoes. The old Feral Spirit route belongs to our earlier client snapshot and should not be followed as current instructions.
How do Rockbiter and Stormstrike enter the run? +
Rockbiter Initiation explicitly changes the starter to Rockbiter Weapon. Stormbound Echoes explicitly supplies a Stormstrike start; Stormstrike also belongs to the native ordinary Shaman pool. Check the actual known spells rather than assuming both starters from the combined descriptions.
Does Flurry speed up Chain Lightning or my totems? +
Its current text names only Rockbiter and Stormstrike cooldown recovery after melee critical strikes. It does not describe a general spell or totem bonus.
Should I always add Lightning Shield? +
Stormguard needs Lightning Shield to be active. Evaluate whether that defensive package addresses the run’s problem and is actually available; the guide does not assume every support spell or milestone fits an unfinished account.
