Our take: Sinister Strike is a clear core for learning how the Rogue’s extra-hit effects fit together. Build a repeatable damage package first; do not turn the class’s fragile identity into a reason to accept every dangerous contact.

Our take: Subtlety offers a readable alternative when you want control to shape damage decisions. Backstab splash rewards useful target proximity, but the Rogue’s safety still depends on leaving crowded space before a limited rescue effect is spent.
