BANK THE RUN YOU HAVE

Extraction: Amulet, Insurance & Death

A return route protects the progress you can actually bank. Check the Amulet before you need it, assess the supplies left and distinguish extraction from insurance or replication. The useful question is what another encounter risks compared with what returning would secure.

THE ONE-MINUTE RUN CHECK

Push another room.
Or bank this run?

Use your current inventory and game UI to answer. This is a planning prompt, not a prediction of what you will keep after death.

Check the amulet before committing.

Plan an available return route before carrying more value deeper.

Insurance, Telia replication and difficulty settings are different systems. Read the guide below before assuming an item is protected.

01

Check the Amulet state before planning an exit

The Amulet's return function needs charge. Read its icon and ready indication rather than turn a visual impression into an invented numerical percentage. A planned visit to a recharge point is not the same as already possessing an available return. We would check the state before entering another uncertain part of the route. If your plan requires extraction, make sure the artifact is actually ready before treating the valuable items in your inventory as a result you have already secured.

02

Recognize the refill options without assuming a free exit

Documented recharge sources include shrines and paid services from Gravedigger and Fex Shuen. Read the current cost and dialogue instead of assuming every encounter supplies the same service for the same amount. Our recommendation is to consider the refill as part of the route budget, alongside ammunition and repairs. Spending the last available supplies to reach a possible recharge can leave little room for a mistake. The Amulet also provides guidance, which is separate from its return function. Check that you are choosing the intended action rather than merely asking where the story continues.

03

Create room for the return sequence

The documented return includes a channeling sequence. We would begin it from a settled position rather than plan around a last-second activation while learning an unfamiliar encounter. That is a recommendation about margin for error, not a promise about invulnerability or how every interruption is handled. Before moving on, compare the health, healing, ammunition and equipment condition you have left with the cost of another uncertain exchange. A useful component or completed preparation goal may already justify returning. Continuing is a new decision; the resources spent reaching this point do not make the next fight free.

04

Read the save’s difficulty before making retention promises

Difficulty settings affect the loss rules associated with a save, and older descriptions should not be used as a universal current retention table. Inspect your selected setting and assume carried valuables need protection unless you have established the applicable rule. Our run-risk helper organizes the questions rather than predicts a guaranteed outcome. We would not promise that death returns an unenchanted weapon simply because another game's rule, an old guide or a mod describes that behavior. Bank reserves at the Church and assess what is currently exposed on the character you are playing.

05

Insurance and replication solve different problems

The Insurance item documents a one-use return through the Church collection box for a covered weapon lost on death. Confirm that coverage is actually attached to the gun you intend to protect. Telia's replication is a different progression service: sacrificing a suitable weapon unlocks access to manufacture a base version for a cost. It is not insurance on the modified copy carried into a run. We would keep these decisions separate when valuing a build. Access to a replacement model does not mean the same enchanted weapon is safely waiting after any possible loss.

06

Turn a successful return into the next prepared run

After reaching the Church, bank the items you meant to preserve and check the supplies still on the character. Repair and resupply before choosing the next destination. If insurance was used, inspect the recovery and replace any consumed coverage before expecting it to work again. Review why you returned: dwindling food, a valuable recipe component or equipment wear. That gives the next outing a clear preparation goal. The beginner checklist and inventory guide help turn that decision into a repeatable routine rather than another bag of unsorted loot.

THE QUICK ANSWERS

Clear the next question.

Will dying always return a weapon without its enchantments?

We found no basis for promising that as a universal vanilla rule. Check the save’s difficulty and the actual coverage on the weapon. Insurance, extraction and Telia’s base-weapon replication are separate systems and should not be combined into one assumed guarantee.

Does Insurance protect everything in my inventory?

The documented item covers the weapon it is attached to and is consumed when used. Do not extend that property to ammunition, other equipment or loose loot. Verify what is covered before using it as a reason to continue a risky outing.
