Start with the original game and current notes

The playable project is arenaofchampions.live. The similarly named .net site is an independent reference. This source review covers browser version 0.22.1, dated 31 October 2026. It is a separate fan project, not Blizzard’s retail or Classic arena client.

Read the newest notes before copying a setup. Elemental is now a Shaman specialization, and Subtlety’s current builder is Hemorrhage. Familiar Warcraft names do not establish an older guide’s accuracy.

Use guest entry to inspect, then plan your return

The client offers guest entry and a save-progress flow. Inspect menus and practise first. Do not assume an unsaved guest identity follows you to another device. For the optional Windows client, the game directs guests to save progress and use that account there.

The independent inspection confirms desktop entry without a separate WoW installation. Mobile compatibility remains untested here. Start with a current desktop browser and the original project’s links.

Choose the job before choosing the build

The current records contain nine classes and twenty specializations. Discipline Priest, Holy Paladin, Restoration Druid and Restoration Shaman explicitly declare a healing role. The other kits provide different offensive plans. Decide whether you prefer recovery, close-range pressure, casting space or a companion.

Keep one specialization for the practice session. Locate its attack, interruption, defensive response and escape before changing class. The provisional tier list compares toolkits; it does not guarantee wins.

Make the selected toolkit understandable

Each current specialization has five talent rows with three alternatives. Read what a choice replaces or grants; do not combine every attractive alternative into a fictional loadout. Inspect the two utility slots as well as the main action bar.

Before the first queue
Find thisWhat to establish
Interruption or controlThe intended target and any condition that limits use.
Defensive answerThe danger it addresses and when you want to preserve it.
Movement or escapeA route that returns you toward support.
UtilityWhether it channels, needs a resource or is unavailable during combat.

For example, Bandage is a channel that can be interrupted by damage. That makes a safe moment part of its use, not merely a missing-health check.

Practise targeting before practising a combo

Open Controls and confirm your bindings. Current notes add Shift-F1 through Shift-F3 for enemy-team targeting. Check remapped keys. Practise selecting an opponent, returning to an ally and finding your defensive button without searching the bar.

Bot practice checks setup, not strength against players. Carry one improvement into the first match: a cleaner target change or a more deliberate defensive response.

Enter the queue with one manageable goal

The client supports 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3. For a paired session, agree on a target and retreat direction. Leaving a rated match early now counts as a loss; begin when you can finish.

Afterward, identify one cause of the result: positioning, a missed response or an unclear target. Change that part first rather than rebuilding everything.

QUICK ANSWERS

Clear up the next decision.

Do I need a separate World of Warcraft installation?

The reviewed browser entry does not request one. Use the original Arena of Champions host rather than a similarly named download or an unrelated arena game.

Which class should I learn first?

Choose a role and a toolkit you can explain. A modest, repeatable practice goal is more useful than changing classes solely because a tier letter looks attractive.

SOURCE REVIEW

Where the advice comes from.

Toolkit records were inspected from the original public client, version 0.22.1, on 31 October 2026. Suggested positioning, practice priorities and tier placements are Cobalt’s editorial assessment. They are not measured win rates or a tournament ranking. Server-side tuning and selected talents can change an exchange.

The supplied .net reference is an independent guide site with an earlier snapshot; the original game is hosted at arenaofchampions.live.
