CLASS FIELD GUIDE

Warrior.
Your Arena of Champions guide.

Warrior puts the pressure near the opponent. Charge, slows and interruptions help keep a target engaged, while its two specializations organize that pressure differently. Plan where your partner can support you before spending the approach. Being in melee range is useful only while the team can still recover from the exchange.

Your Warrior game plan

Warrior rewards a useful connection, not simply the fastest Charge. Arms converts contact into healing reduction and lingering bleeds; Fury makes its Enrage windows the central commitment. Both bring close-range interruption, a ranged stun and tools for surviving retaliation. Our starting advice is to choose a pressure target your partner can actually support, then keep an exit available. The native kit has enough disruption to protect a teammate as well as pursue a kill, so a good Warrior turn need not always end with more damage.

Choose your Warrior specialization

Arms

Damage
A tier

Arms gives a coordinated pair a clear pressure target, healing disruption and several ways to interfere with a response. This profile values that readable connection between staying on a target and helping a partner finish an opportunity.

Mortal Strike
A core strike connected to reduced incoming healing on its target.
Rend
Bleeding pressure that continues between direct attacks.
Bladestorm
A spinning offensive window with its own control-protection rules.

Watch the tradeoff: An unsuccessful approach leaves the Warrior exposed and the partner stretching to help. Damage does not excuse chasing beyond a workable support position.

Try this: Agree on the target before charging, and keep a way back toward your partner when the exchange turns.

Fury

Damage
B tier

Fury can turn a planned offensive window into substantial pressure, but its defining Enrage also increases damage received. Our placement reflects the extra coordination needed to protect that commitment rather than a measured damage disadvantage.

Bloodthirst
The specialization’s central attack and part of its Enrage plan.
Whirlwind
Nearby pressure that rewards attention to surrounding targets.
Enraged Regeneration
A dedicated recovery choice within the Fury toolkit.

Watch the tradeoff: A damage window and a dangerous incoming exchange can overlap. Treating every Enrage as permission to keep attacking makes recovery harder for both players.

Try this: Tell your partner when committing to Enrage and reassess immediately if the opponent answers with control or burst.

Turn contact into sustained pressure

Charge moves you into the exchange and grants Rage, but it has a minimum range. We would avoid spending it merely to replace a short walk when the opponent can immediately escape again. Apply Hamstring when keeping contact matters, then spend Rage on the specialization's pressure tools. Leave room for Pummel rather than emptying the bar before an important enemy cast. Rage generation and decay make unnecessary downtime costly, yet chasing around an obstacle can also separate you from help. Reconnect where your partner can participate instead of treating every retreat as an instruction to follow.

Choose the Arms or Fury commitment

Arms gives Mortal Strike a recovery-denial job alongside its direct hit, while Rend keeps working between contacts. Our preference is to establish that pressure before asking a teammate to commit their strongest control. Bladestorm supplies area pressure and control immunities, but its occupied state prevents other actions until the spin ends. Fury's Bloodthirst includes self-healing, while Enrage increases incoming as well as outgoing damage. Read the first talent row to understand how your setup obtains Enrage. Enraged Regeneration normally requires that state; Unbridled Regeneration removes the requirement but lengthens its cooldown. Without that talent, watch Enrage before relying on this recovery.

Spend control to change the exchange

Storm Bolt can stop the opponent escaping or interrupt pressure on your teammate. Pummel needs melee range, so a successful stun does not justify assuming the follow-up interrupt is already covered. Tell your partner which job you are taking. Intimidating Shout is another way to buy breathing room, although damage can break its fear. Spell Reflection rewards anticipating a spell rather than pressing it after the hit. Shield Wall reduces incoming damage; Berserker Rage specifically answers fear and incapacitation. We recommend assigning these different jobs in advance instead of stacking every defensive button against the first visible threat.

QUICK ANSWERS

Clear up the next decision.

Is Fury automatically safer because Bloodthirst heals?

No. Its healing is useful, but Enrage also increases incoming damage, and some talent choices deepen that tradeoff. We would judge safety by available recovery, partner support and the enemy response rather than the presence of one healing strike.

Should Arms stay in Bladestorm for its full duration?

Not automatically. The native aura occupies the Warrior while active. If an urgent Pummel or another action is worth more than continuing the spin, ending it is a tactical option; compare the control protection you would also give up.
