THE COBALT TAKE
The strongest reason to explore this core is its network of interactions: Nightfall links bolts and Corruption, Contagion spreads effects after a death, and Seed rewards afflicted enemies falling. These connections justify a focused starting plan without establishing an optimal clear time.

The build in four decisions.
Learn it in the run, or check whether an unlocked talent starts you with it.
Better level-up rarity odds, when the current clear can afford the choice.
Look for the legendary remake of this spell in a jewelry offer.
Read its effect. A repeated offer of the worn amulet can empower it.
BEFORE YOU START THE RUN
Give the plan a starting point.
Confirm which opening you have
Seed of Corruption explicitly starts a run with Corruption. Without that capstone, treat Corruption as a piece to obtain rather than assuming that choosing Warlock already gives the completed opening.
Distinguish the Affliction plan from a demon plan
The native class also has Demonology choices. A demon-focused setup asks different questions about its selected milestones; do not treat every Warlock talent as an interchangeable contribution to ticking damage.
Use early Luck with the correct claim
Luck can improve rarity odds for level-up upgrades. Its confirmed tooltip does not prove a higher rate of legendary necklaces. Keep the spell learned for eligibility and compare any actual remake before replacing the current amulet.
FOCUS THE CHOICES YOU ACTUALLY SEE
Affliction Corruption upgrade priorities
Read these in the context of your current clear. They are conditional priorities rather than a numeric stat weight or a fixed card sequence.
YOUR NEXT CHOICE
What should I take now?
An editorial helper for Affliction Corruption. Compare the actual cards in your client.
Learn your build’s core spell
Take the core ability when it is offered, or use a verified starting-spell talent you already have. The client describes knowing the spell as a condition for its legendary amulet offer.

Corruption and its bolt connection
Nightfall gives Shadow Bolt hits a Corruption interaction and lets Corruption ticks trigger free bolts. Preserve that relationship before spending every offer on unrelated damage.
Duration and available targets
Fel Concentration extends effects and Grim Reach adds targets to damage-over-time spells. Compare which limitation the current run actually has rather than assuming both solve the same problem.
Useful ticking-damage recovery
Siphon Life heals from damage-over-time ticks. Read that condition literally: a recovery plan still needs the relevant damage happening, and it is not permission to ignore incoming pressure.
Death-triggered spread and bursts
Contagion and Seed make afflicted deaths important. Their value should be assessed alongside the ability to finish targets, rather than assuming that spreading a weak effect guarantees a clear.
A measured early rarity investment
Consider Luck while the immediate engine is healthy, then return to the next required damage or survival improvement. No specific necklace outcome is promised.
BUILD CONNECTIONS
Talents that support the idea.
Inspect the synergies, then compare them with the Armory’s Talents tab between runs. The recorded client describes milestones at 10, 20 and 30 points. Exact ranks and tunable values must be read in your client.
WHY IT MATTERS
Nightfall
Links Shadow Bolt hits to Corruption and Corruption ticks to rate-limited free bolts.
Hover or focus a talent on desktop; tap on mobile. This is a synergy reference. Node order is a reading order, not a point allocation or an unlock tree.
FROM FIRST PICKS TO A FINISHED ENGINE
Your run plan.
Opening
Establish the active damage source
Check the starting spell and chosen talents. A Corruption opening can pursue its relevant offers immediately; another opening should keep working while the Affliction pieces become available. Do not discard useful present damage for a theoretical finished setup.
Developing run
Connect ticks, bolts and deaths
Watch which part of the plan needs help: applying effects, keeping them active, reaching targets or finishing them. Use that observation to choose between duration, target support and ordinary damage. Nightfall's free bolts have a stated rate limit, so avoid an unlimited-proc assumption.
Legendary or pressure spike
Update the plan from the actual effect
A known spell is the prerequisite for its legendary amulet offer. Read what the offered remake changes, then reconsider later upgrades around that effect. If it never appears, the documented Affliction connections remain the fallback rather than a failed promise of one required item.

Keep the build focused.
Confusing an Affliction setup with a complete demon build.
Assuming repeated ticks mean unrestricted free-bolt triggers.
Relying on damage-based healing while the relevant damage is absent.
Assigning a generic necklace name to Corruption without reading its remake.
QUICK ANSWERS
Warlock build questions
Should I combine every Warlock milestone? +
A complete legal point route has not been validated here. Choose a coherent available plan and inspect current requirements rather than assuming every described talent can be active together.
Is a legendary necklace mandatory? +
This outline has a documented Affliction core without a guaranteed necklace. An eligible offer can change the plan, but its exact name, effect and appearance rate require direct evidence.
