THE COBALT TAKE
Our take: Balance gives the Druid a coherent spell-and-companion direction without relying on a form capstone. The key is to strengthen the spells the run really has and keep chance-based Starfire distinct from its fixed automatic source.

Original builds were cross-checked between 0.111.0 and 0.130.0; the new alternate builds were checked directly against 0.130.0 native talent records. All 102 class abilities were checked. The build in four decisions.
Learn it in the run, or check whether an unlocked talent starts you with it.
Better level-up rarity odds, when the current clear can afford the choice.
Look for the legendary remake of this spell in a jewelry offer.
Read its effect. A repeated offer of the worn amulet can empower it.
BEFORE YOU START THE RUN
Give the plan a starting point.
Build toward the real Moonfire opening
Force of Nature supplies two treant companions and starts the run with Moonfire. Confirm that endpoint is learned before treating Moonfire as the guaranteed opener. A developing character can choose the spell when offered and use its support earlier, but the future treants should not be counted as present damage. Read the actual armory requirements; this guide is a route through decisions, not a claim that every desirable Balance node fits an invented point budget.
Identify each Starfire source
Omen of Clarity gives every spell cast a chance to call a free Starfire. Starfall separately supplies a free Starfire every four seconds. A chance-based trigger and a fixed timed effect solve different problems. The records do not establish that one free Starfire automatically triggers an unlimited sequence of further free Starfires, or that a cooldown modifier changes the separate four-second schedule.
FOCUS THE CHOICES YOU ACTUALLY SEE
Moonfire Balance upgrade priorities
Read these in the context of your current clear. They are conditional priorities rather than a numeric stat weight or a fixed card sequence.
YOUR NEXT CHOICE
What should I take now?

Learn your build’s core spell
Take the core ability when it is offered, or use a verified starting-spell talent you already have. The client describes knowing the spell as a condition for its legendary amulet offer.

Make Moonfire a working core
Improved Moonfire directly strengthens the named spell. Once Moonfire is known, compare its development with the current encounter instead of collecting unrelated damage packages at every opportunity. The capstone supplies the opening ability and companions, but it does not remove the need for ordinary damage and safety choices during the run.
Add Starfire support for the source you have
Omen of Clarity adds a chance on spell casts; Starfall adds a timed free Starfire. Improved Starfire specifically shortens Starfire’s cooldown. Keep those descriptions distinct when evaluating support. A shorter learned-spell cooldown is documented, while a change to every automatic trigger is not established by that wording.
Check the spell schools before broad support
Moonfury improves Arcane and Nature spells. It is a broader condition than the talent that names Moonfire directly. Inspect the spells and offers currently being used before assigning the benefit to every source of damage, especially companion attacks. The native description does not quantify how the treants scale with each player stat.
Let opening Luck serve the spell plan
An early Luck investment can improve later level-up rarity odds when the current damage already keeps pace. If the opening has not established Moonfire or lacks enough pressure to stay safe, buying more future quality carries a visible cost. Luck does not promise the particular necklace or upgrade sequence needed by a finished screenshot.
BUILD CONNECTIONS
Talents that support the idea.
Inspect the synergies, then compare them with the Armory’s Talents tab between runs. The recorded client describes milestones at 10, 20 and 30 points. Exact ranks and tunable values must be read in your client.
WHY IT MATTERS
Force of Nature
Supplies two treant companions and a Moonfire opening. Companion scaling and targeting rules are not inferred from the name.
Hover or focus a talent on desktop; tap on mobile. This is a synergy reference. Node order is a reading order, not a point allocation or an unlock tree.
FROM FIRST PICKS TO A FINISHED ENGINE
Your run plan.
Before the run
Separate Balance from the Feral opener
Choose the current Balance direction deliberately. Cat Form and its Shred opening describe another build; they are not automatically part of this Moonfire plan. Check which of Force of Nature, Omen of Clarity and Starfall are learned and write the first useful upgrade question around that exact starting state.
Opening
Develop the spell already doing the work
When Force of Nature supplies Moonfire, use early offers to improve a functioning package rather than chasing a long list of names. Without the endpoint, recognize the moment Moonfire becomes known as a real change in readiness. Keep movement room while evaluating damage; companions are support, not a verified taunt or immunity system.
Developing
Read free casts without inventing a loop
Omen can add Starfires as spells are cast, while Starfall establishes a predictable automatic contribution. Notice which effect the account actually owns. A useful Starfire offer may improve the run, but this guide does not assume that a talent-generated cast alone makes Starfire a learned spell for every equipment condition.
Durable targets
Check sustained pressure separately
A pack clearing comfortably does not prove that a durable isolated enemy is solved. Compare improvements to the core spells with the safety needed to keep attacking through that encounter. Do not import death-spread, poison explosions or another class’s trigger just because those effects made a different guide successful.
Equipment decision
Read the spell named on the remake
A Moonfire-remaking amulet and a Starfire-remaking amulet would answer different questions. Use the actual offered text, known-spell condition and replacement warning rather than assuming either item exists under a guessed name. Keep a useful opening amulet until a verified replacement improves the current spell engine.

QUICK ANSWERS
Druid build questions
Does this require Cat Form? +
No. The documented Balance direction uses Moonfire, Starfire support and the Force of Nature endpoint. Cat Form belongs to the separate Feral route.
Are Omen of Clarity and Starfall identical? +
No. Omen is chance-based on spell casts; Starfall supplies a separate fixed four-second free-Starfire effect.
Can I promise a Moonfire legendary by stacking Luck? +
No. Luck’s verified description concerns the rarity of level-up upgrades. A particular amulet offer is not guaranteed, so the opening plan needs to work before that branch appears.
