Choose what “complete” means for this save
Story completion, the achievement list and collecting every item are different goals. Make that distinction before following a warning-heavy route. Track achievement requirements and a personal every-item collection separately.
PowerPyx reports no missable trophies and post-story free roam. RPG Site similarly distinguishes important achievement items from some time-limited dialogue. Those are reassuring completion claims, but they do not settle every optional-content disagreement.
Separate temporary access from a one-time visit
Game8’s updated missables page says Grandshelt Castle chests become accessible again in Chapter 4, while flagging Old Town, Olderion chests as tied to its story visit. Those are different situations. Record the exact area and warning before assuming an inaccessible chest is permanently lost.
Our recommendation is simple: inspect side paths during a special story sequence, save before leaving when possible, and keep the earlier slot. You gain a useful fallback without declaring the whole campaign a sequence of emergencies.
Prepare for rewards you cannot repeat
Game8 describes Magic Pot battles as one-time opportunities. Check the Vision you intend to develop before accepting that fight, instead of discovering afterward that its reward went toward a different plan.
RPG Site also notes that airship equipment stock changes between chapters. If your personal goal includes owning every item, review the current shop before advancing. Players pursuing only the story need not turn every shop visit into an exhaustive shopping mandate.
Review lasting choices and unfinished character quests
Some story dialogue grants a permanent stat increase; Game8 says that choice requires an earlier save to change. Read those prompts deliberately. That is different from assuming every conversation answer controls a trophy, a relationship route or access to a collectible.
Finish pending personal quests when convenient rather than relying on a sweeping “nothing closes” statement. Reports differ about late quest availability. In particular, one current guide flags a late-character substory while broad roadmaps describe complete cleanup. We do not present that disputed deadline as a verified universal rule.
Create a useful pre-finale checkpoint
Before the final commitment, make a separate manual save and review the quest log, equipment goals and unresolved area notes. Complete the specific tasks you care about, claim already-earned rewards and prepare supplies. Keep the checkpoint available after creating later progress.
This is our editorial recommendation, not a claim that you must finish every optional fight first. A carefully named save is a small practical safeguard while current guides disagree about a few narrow exceptions.
Turn completion into a series of small sessions
After the story, work through one category at a time: personal substories, Visions, Espers, Cave Masters, Legendary Arms and the shard or crafting milestones relevant to your remaining goals. Confirm the actual unlock condition before adding another task. The official launch overview also identifies the Colosseum and optional late challenges as substantial content.
Choose one objective per session and mark it complete when its result is confirmed.

QUICK ANSWERS
Before your next session.
Can I safely say that absolutely nothing is missable? +
No. Broad trophy roadmaps and narrower optional-content guides do not make identical claims. Distinguish achievement-critical progress, temporary locks, one-time rewards and personal completion goals.
Should an incomplete chest list make me restart? +
First identify the exact location and whether its access returns. Check a recent source for that specific case and inspect an earlier save before deciding that a restart is necessary.
Which save should I keep for a completion pass? +
Keep a separate manual save from before the final commitment, alongside your later progress. Retain it until the optional quests, rewards and collection goals that matter to you are resolved.
