First Aid.
A useful skill at every stage.

First Aid has a wider job in Forever than an old bandage-only plan suggests. Our route keeps a cloth path and a healing-potion opening available, then treats recovery supplies as part of preparing for difficult quests. Skill matters, but so does knowing when each item can actually help; carrying a large stock is not the same as planning a safe use.

Reviewed 30 October 2026. Forever is in its pre-launch edition. Later-level advice is identified as planning where beta coverage is limited; check the current client before committing materials or a long journey.

Why these profession pairings?
  • Herbalism supplies ingredients for healing potions.
  • Tailoring shares the cloth supply, so agree on a reserve for each craft.

Your First Aid route

Move the slider to highlight the relevant stage.

1–75

Choose cloth or the Forever potion opening

Linen Bandage and Heavy Linen Bandage are reviewed cloth checkpoints. The current alternative Minor Healing Potion uses Peacebloom, Mild Spices and Empty Vial; healing potion crafting belongs here rather than Alchemy. Choose using your available supplies and intended recovery needs. Make a modest batch first so you can inspect the result and skill-up color before committing all your early materials.

MATERIAL CHECKPOINT
  • Linen Cloth
  • Peacebloom
  • Mild Spices
  • Empty Vial

Before the next stageJourneyman First Aid requires skill 50; train before the 75 ceiling.

76–150

Move the cloth reserve into wool

The reviewed bandage route introduces Wool Bandage at 80 and Heavy Wool Bandage at 115. Keep enough finished recovery items for your journey before offering the remainder for sale. If another craft uses your cloth, mark its reserved stack clearly. This is easier than discovering at the trainer that a tailoring session consumed the material you expected to use for your next recovery tier.

MATERIAL CHECKPOINT
  • Wool Cloth

Before the next stageExpert First Aid - Under Wraps can be used at skill 125; the reviewed book has no character-level requirement.

151–225

Collect the book and next manuals together

The Expert book is sold by Deneb Walker in Arathi Highlands for Alliance or Balai Lok’Wein in Dustwallow Marsh for Horde. Heavy Silk Bandage and Mageweave Bandage use separate manuals. Check the vendor’s available books during the same visit. The beta source warns about scarce Mageweave and offers a silk alternative; inspect current colors and supply instead of assuming the launch economy matches that scarcity.

MATERIAL CHECKPOINT
  • Silk Cloth
  • Mageweave Cloth

Before the next stageTriage is the Artisan rank checkpoint at First Aid 225 and character level 35.

226–300

Verify the Artisan recovery ladder

The specialist labels the post-225 bandage route untested in Forever. We do not turn its Classic-based draft into a guaranteed craft sequence. Complete the current Triage requirements, inspect available recipes and distinguish the skill to craft a bandage from the skill to use it. Plague Doctor’s Laboratory is a listed skill-300 camp milestone; check blueprint access before planning a supply business around it.

MATERIAL CHECKPOINT
  • Cloth required by current learned recipes
  • Materials for verified remedies you intend to use

Before the next stageFinal bandage sequence and advanced blueprint access need launch verification.

Plan the safe moment, not just the item

Decide how to create a recovery window before a difficult fight. Keep bandages and potions accessible, and read their restrictions and shared cooldowns. An interrupted channel can waste a scarce opportunity. Ask a teammate to help control the situation when another stack of supplies cannot solve it.

Stock the right remedy for the problem

Forever includes anti-venoms, disease poultices and bleed tourniquets. Poultices and tourniquets are out-of-combat remedies. Read the maximum removable effect level before packing for an enemy. Keep the kit recognizable under pressure and replenish what you actually used after a session.

BEFORE YOU SET OUT

Quick questions

Is First Aid worthwhile for a healer?+

It gives another recovery supply and can conserve resources in suitable situations. Evaluate the actual item and opportunity rather than choosing purely by class label.

Are crafting and usage requirements identical?+

No. Current bandages can have different requirements to make and use. Read both before buying a higher-rank supply.
